This is the classroom phase that will prepare students to take their learners permit exam with DMV. At the successful completion of this course students will receive the necessary certificate to apply for their permit.

Mock Trial Introduction

Mr. Martinez

Students will learn how Mock Trial works. They will review constitutional rights and how they apply in a criminal trial. This will prepare students for the 22-23 Mock Trial season.

Heffernan / Pale

Academic, Mindset, and Team Building Activities for all levels of football players. Our football program uses the same four pillars as all students at EGHS--Honor, Effort, Respect, and Determination. The aim of this course is to prepare our student athletes with the tools to compete at a high level AND represent these four pillars to the best of their ability.

Creative Writing

This course is designed for the student who is interested in exploring their own voice and style through a variety of forms and genres. Students will engage in different writing exercises in a writing workshop format. Students will work toward developing a final product to share at the end of the week.

Competitive Indoor Badminton

June 13 – June 17

Mr. McNally

Students will learn the rules of Badminton. The skills to be taught are: Footwork, strategy, the serve (long and short), the drop (straight and cross court), the clear (straight and cross court), the drive (forehand and backhand), and the smash (forehand and backhand). The last day will be tournament play to showcase skills and have fun.

This course will prepare our Student Council for the coming school year. We will work on building our leadership skills and do team bonding.

Honors / AP English Bootcamp

This course will provide 9-12 grade students with strategies to be successful in an advanced English course. Students will gain practice in the types of reading and writing assignments they will encounter in honors and AP courses. Students will also discuss the texts they analyze in informal discussions.

Music Enrichment and Leadership Skills

This 3 DAY workshop on Music Leadership will help students enhance their leadership skills.

ASB Training

This course will prepare our ASB for the coming school year. We will work on building our leadership skills and do team bonding.

 

 

Credit Recovery:

  • Your schedule is available through Synergy Student Vue under class schedule. 
  • Your teacher(s) will notify you by June 6th with class instructions
  • You may come to campus to work or work from home asynchronously
  • Students will be responsible for communicating with teachers daily
  • All assessments must be done as directed by your teacher, an option to test remotely will be made available.
  • PE will be on campus daily.
  • If you choose to come on campus, a class list and directory will be posted in the Welcome Center.
  • If you are taking a class with a teacher at another campus and would like to work at EGHS and receive help from an on site instructor, you may do so.  Report to the Welcome Center for direction.
